When should I start cleaning my baby’s teeth?
You should start brushing your baby’s teeth as soon as they appear in the mouth. Teething starts normally at around 6 months of age, but can begin sometimes as early as 3 months, or as late as 12 months. Brush your baby’s teeth and gums twice daily after meals to help establish a healthy brushing routine.

Why is there no fluoride in the Aquafresh® Training toothpaste?
Fluoride is the main ingredient used in most toothpastes to protect against cavities. However, a condition known as dental fluorosis (white spots on permanent teeth) can develop if a child receives too much fluoride during early tooth development. The Food and Drug Administration doesn't recommend fluoride toothpaste for children under two years of age unless recommended by a dentist or health professional because children under two do not have control of their swallowing reflex and do not have the skills yet to spit out the toothpaste properly.
-
What is the active ingredient in Aquafresh® Training toothpaste?
There is no active ingredient but the purpose of this toothpaste is to get your baby accustomed to the taste/texture of toothpaste in their mouth and to the sensation of having their teeth brushed. This paste is intended to be used on a baby toothbrush such as the Aquafresh Training toothbrush, which will help clean your baby’s teeth and provide him/her with the brushing experience from very early on.
